The ICT curriculum for Mathayom 1-3 focuses on developing students’ programming, problem-solving, web development, and robotics skills through a progression of topics.
ICT (2 hours per week)

Introduction to sequencing, sprites, events, loops, and conditionals using various tools and environments like Angry Birds, Sprite Lab, and Minecraft.
Exploring the problem-solving process and the role of computers in solving real-world problems.
Working with functions, variables, and loops in coding projects.
Learning to create webpages using HTML, CSS, and web design principles, including styling, intellectual property, and digital footprints.
Introduction to Arduino, with hands-on projects such as LED control, traffic lights, and building an autonomous car.
Developing multi-page websites with a focus on purpose, research, and CSS classes.
Learning to program games and animations, focusing on sprites, movement, collision detection, and the game design process.
Working with servo motors and robotics projects, including building insect robots and humanoid robots.
Engaging in projects like interactive cards and side-scrolling games to apply knowledge in real-world contexts.

Why do you enjoy teaching?
I enjoy teaching because I get to give the greatest gift to students, knowledge, and hopefully inspire curiosity. I especially enjoy teaching teenagers for the impact I can make at an important time in their lives by preparing for adulthood and their upcoming transition into the world outside of school.

The freedom to design the curriculum in a way that is best suited not only for learning it, but applying it in the real world. At WKM there is a greater emphasis on real-world application than just classroom application.
